# Next engineering priorities 1. Test real machine power cuts on specified device/filesystem pairs. Preserve independent copies and detect acknowledged-generation loss, including entire header erasure. 2. Prototype a separate versioned page format with copy-on-write roots, page checksums, bounded reclamation and interrupted migration tests. Compare mixed writes against the current 100k-record baseline before adopting it. 3. Run the adapter contract on Asterhold's real storage service. Verify sector failure isolation, flush ordering, capacity handling and exclusive ownership. 4. Measure long-running, nearly-full mixed workloads on native Windows/Linux storage, including flush latency tails, media writes and allocator pressure. 5. Extend application guarantees as workloads justify them: conditional multi-document network writes, unique secondary keys, and a consistent multi-page read view. Do not promise these for v1. See OVERNIGHT_REPORT_V1.md for delivered work, limitations and reproduction commands.
